OK. I have gotten the site so you can go to www.hokah.info again without trouble. However, there are no other pages online. There is only the frontpage. I will be trying to fix this asap.

Website under renovation (again)

I am currently in the process of renovating www.hokah.info. (Again) :). I am trying to switch it over to ASP.NET controls, so I can change the site’s look and theme from one page. However, I am having some technical issues with it right now, so you will have to be patient.:(

If you want to see what is going on right now, you can go to www.hokah.info/default.aspx There are no images or nav buttons, but the basic info is showing up.

The other pages are acessible by going to one of the pages, e.g. www.hokah.info/churches.html or www.hokah.info/recreation.html, and then using the links there.

PS. If anyone knows how to make ASPX work, please tell me.

New feature available for the Hokah web albums!

As some of you may or may not know, I have created an online photo album for Hokah. The URL is picasaweb.google.com/cityofhokah. I have been posting pictures to this album of events in town, and now you can, too! Simply email the pictures to: cityofhokah.photosubmission@picasaweb.com

Photos may take some time to appear in the albums. If they do not appear within a day or two, please feel free to (politely) email me at webmaster@hokah.info and let me know.

Please do not submit any inappropriate or copyrighted content.

I will be checking the photos that are submitted, and any inappropriate or copyrighted content will be deleted.

Scarecrow making contest:

Calling all La Crescent-Hokah Elementary Classrooms…

The Hokah Fall Children’s festival is looking for a few good scarecrows to decorate our fest grounds. We would like to invite you classroom to participate in our Scarecrow Making Contest taking place on Saturday, October 4th at the Hokah city park. Click here for supplies and instructions for making a scarecrow. This list is just as a guide to get you started; be as creative and resourceful as possible. We will be awarding the top 2 classrooms (scarecrows) with a pizza and ice cream party. Your scarecrow must be completed and ready for pickup on Friday, October 3rd, at the end of the school day.
