is next week, August 3-7, 2009; 8:45-11am. All are welcome!
All children age 9-17 in Houson County are welcome to participate: you don’t have to be a member of 4-H!
Children age 9-17 are invited to create their own poster and slogan to promote eating at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Please use paper/poster board, with dimensions of no less than 8.5×11″ (letter size) and not greater than 8.5″x14″ (legal size). Any materials may be used to create a colorful, eye-catching message. This group will also be divided based on age for prizes.
Entries will be on display, as space allows, in the 4-H building at the Houston County Fair from August 12th to August 16th.
IMPORTANT: the constestant’s name, age, phone number, and address should be written clearly on the back of their project!
Entries can be submitted to the Houston County Public Health Office from now until 4:30pm on August 11th. If you’d like to mail yours, send it in by Friday, August 7th. Contestants can also bring their entired directly to the 4H building at the fair by 4pm on Wednesday, August 12th.
The winners will be posted in the 4H building on Thursday, August 13th, where the prizes can be picked up.
